U.S. District Judge Boasberg Orders Trump Not to Deport Any More Venezuelan Gang Terrorists.

Some 238 despicable members of the notorious Venezuelan “Tren de Aragua” gang were deported pursuant to President Trump’s policies and landed in El Salvador just as U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg ordered the deportations to stop. “Any plane containing these folks that is going to take off or is in the air needs to be returned to the United States however that is accomplished,” Boasberg announced. “Make sure it’s complied with immediately.”

Not content to see the U.S. deporting these terrorist monsters to central American prisons, U.S. Judge Boasberg felt it appropriate for him to usurp the Article 2 powers of the President and ordered that no more terrorists be deported. Apparently Judge James Boasberg, whose family has been active in Democrat Party Politics since the days of Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society,” believes it is better for these thugs to stay in the U.S., at least until he — and not the President — makes the decision about their deportation.

Judge Boasberg joins a long list of Democratic Party judges who have done everything they can possibly do to subvert Mr. Trump’s policies. Of course, they don’t see it as “usurping” and ‘subverting.” They actually believe that it is perfectly acceptable for a great many Democrat-nominated judges, such as themselves, to enter one order after another to stop a Republican President from taking actions that would not be implemented by the Democratic Party. There have been many of these highly partisan judges who — if they don’t believe they are acting in a partisan manner– must believe that it is entirely appropriate to substitute their judgment for that of the President. Certainly, they will say that they are honoring the Constitution, requiring that the Constitution be observed, but the reality is that they think that their confirmation to a relatively low judicial position (a first-level trial court), allows them to overrule the President of the United States on any matter that may come before their court. Rather than confining their rulings to the parties before the court, they repeatedly use their usurped powers to place nationwide prohibitions against the exercise of presidential authority. These judges did the same thing during Trump’s first term, and they were nowhere to be seen enjoining President Biden’s policies.

The Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Supreme Court need to slap down these activist judges. They have no business, in our constitutional scheme, exalting themselves above the President and have no right to second-guess every decision the President makes so long as they call the decision a constitutional issue. In the greater scheme of things, everything the President does can be said to be a constitutional issue. These judges, such as Boasberg, arrogate power to themselves never foreseen by the Constitution. Of course, they themselves interpret the Constitution to give themselves such power, and then they substitute their judgment for the political policies of the elected President.

Texas congressman Brandon Gill (R) announced he would be filing articles of impeachment against Judge Boasberg. Elon Musk retweeted Rep. Gill’s comment adding that doing so was “necessary.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi said Boasberg “had supported Tren de Aragua terrorists over the safety of Americans” in his ruling. ‘This order disregards well-established authority regarding President Trump’s power, and it puts the public and law enforcement at risk,” she said in a statement.

Per Wikipedia: “During the 111th Congress, Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton recommended Boasberg to fill a judicial vacancy on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. On June 17, 2010, President Barack Obama formally nominated Boasberg to the district court for the District of Columbia. Boasberg was confirmed on March 14, 2011 by a 96–0 vote. He received his commission on March 17, 2011. He became the chief judge on March 17, 2023.”
