Trump Orders Massive Deregulation by All Federal Agencies.

Building on the 2-for-1 requirement from his first term, Trump’s raised the ante on all new regs to 10-for-1.

President Trump has ordered that whenever any federal agency wishes to promulgate a new rule, regulation, or guidance, “it must identify at least 10 existing rules, regulations, or guidance documents to be repealed.”

According to his Executive Order, during the four years of the Biden Administration, new rules and regulations “imposed a historic $1.7 trillion in costs on the American people.”

During Mr. Trump’s previous term as president (“Trump 45”), President Trump required agencies to eliminate two regulations for each one new regulation issued. The White House says that, “Not only was this 2-for-1 goal achieved, the first Trump Administration eliminated five and a half regulations for every one new regulation issued.”

So Mr. Trump has now upped the ante. Obviously some new regulations will be required to advance Mr. Trump’s agenda. But there are plenty of regulatory cuts that can be made, starting with all DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) regs at all federal agencies.
