OPINION: As the Biden Administration Winds Down, So Too Will All the Lies.

It’s been a constant barrage of lies out of Washington for many years, and now that the Biden Administration is beginning to pack their bags, lest we forget all the lies we’ve been fed, we thought it would be good to provide some sort of compilation. But of course there are more lies than we can remember right now, but here’s a good start.

First, there were two different varieties of lies, the first being lies Joe told to aggrandize himself, and the second set were lies told to demean all his opposition. We’ll start with the first list.

Self-Aggrandizement:

Did you remember when he said:

• That his Uncle Bosie was eaten by Cannibals in New Guinea.  
    — (Uncle Bosie died when his plane ditched in the South Pacific during WWII.)
• That he drove an 18-wheeler.
    — (He never did.)
• That he was raised in the Black Church.
     — (Of course he was not.)
• That his son, Beau, died as a soldier in Iraq.
     — (Beau died as a civilian, in fact as the Attorney General of Maryland, many years later, of cancer.)
• That he was arrested during the Civil Rights marches in the 1960’s.
     — (This never happened.)
• That he was arrested with Nelson Mandela on the streets of Soweto in the 1970’s.
     — (No one else witnessed this.
• That, referring to the Iraq War, “immediately, the moment it started, I came out against the war at that moment.” 
     — (Biden fully supported the Iraq war and voted for the resolution to go to war.)
• That, “I went to law school on a full academic scholarship, the only one in my class who had a full academic scholarship. The first year in law school, I decided I didn’t want to be in law school and ended up in the bottom two-thirds of my class. And then decided I wanted to stay, went back to law school and, in fact, ended up in the top half of my class. I graduated with three degrees from undergraduate school.”
     — (Every one of those claims is false, except that he was in the bottom 2/3rds of his class.  Joe Biden graduated 76th academically in a class of 85 students at Syracuse University College of Law in 1968.)

…And many, many more. Perhaps we’ll add to this list as further memories are triggered.

Then there are the other varieties of Joe’s lies, those designed to debase, demean, smear, and ridicule his political opposition. To do this:

• They lied about Covid;
• They lied about the Covid vaccines;
• They lied about Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin;
• They lied about climate change;
• They lied about the 2000 election results;
• They lied about “The Insurrection”;
• They lied about the Ukraine;
• They lied about immigration;
• They lied about inflation;
• They lie about crime statistics,
• They lied about the Ohio derailment/chemical spill,
• They lied about the Lahaina, Hawaii fire,
• They lied about the Nord Stream explosion,
• They lied about Hunter Biden’s laptop,
• They lied about Joe Biden’s corruption,
• They lied about the large white balloons that overflew the nation,
• They lied about the 2020 Election results,
• They lied about Republicans seeking to defund Social Security and Medicare,
• They invented the entire Trump Russia Hoax,
• They lied about Trump’s telephone call with Zelensky
• They lied about Biden’s mental competence,
• They lied about athletes and youngsters dropping dead

… and we’re sure if we gave ourselves a break we could find ten more topics of lies. 

With all these lies, we all have to look for news and information from people who don’t lie (or, at least don’t lie to our knowledge), in order to be informed.  That’s why so many people are watching podcasts and reading alternative news sites. 

We don’t think (or maybe, we just hope) that our government leaders are not so stupid that they actually believe most of the stuff they say: 

• Do you think anyone in government service actually believes that men can menstruate? 
• Do they really believe a trans-man is indeed a genuine woman? 
• Can they possibly be worried about the temperature going up one degree in a century? 
• Do they really worry about CO2 when they drink huge amounts of carbonated sodas? 
• And with the 2024 election just in the rear view mirror, we can put to bed their lies that Trump is the modern-day Hitler, or that Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian plant, or that RFK Jr. is a discredited conspiracy theorist, or that Pete Hegseth is a white supremacist, or that Matt Gaetz is a sex maniac.  When the Dems haven’t yet invented a smear, they will just label a Trump pick as incompetent or unqualified. 

But the Dems push this nonsense on us, because they are able to manipulate us, and thereby enhance their power and wealth.  And to them, that seems to be all that matters.  

Why do we believe them when everything they say is a lie? Well, the answer is that we don’t, but that many do, and that for so long as these lies serve their political goals and move their political agenda forward, they’ve got no reason to stop.
